My word for 2018 = VULNERABLE - not in the sense of how you think. Not in the sense of allowing myself to get hurt, but in the sense of allowing ME to be ME. Allowing ME to be AUTHENTIC. You see, so many of us hide our true self to try to fit in with family, friends and coworkers that we actually lose sight of who we really are and who we are truly suppose to be. So for me being VULNERABLE allows you to truly know me. I am so much more than a text which is only words that can mean nothing, an emoji which can bring a chuckle for the moment but is not a “real” emotion or a post for a snapshot of my life for you to see the happy moment. Being VULNERABLE will allow you to see me for my AUTHENTIC self. So Happy New Year to you all!! May you always know who you are and be VULNERABLE to the people around you. You may be surprised how they react and the new friendships you make!!!
